PDFNest is a Next.js PDF utility app for editing, protecting, converting, and extracting content from PDF files. It provides a browser UI for uploading documents, previewing pages where needed, sending files to a PDF processing backend, and downloading the processed output.

• **Organize**: Merge PDFs, split PDFs, rotate pages, delete pages, reorder pages, insert blank pages.
• **Edit**: Add watermarks, page numbers, edit PDF metadata, redact text, apply signatures.

PDFNest Backend is a Go/Fiber API for common PDF workflows: locking and unlocking PDFs, compression, page operations, conversion, OCR, watermarking, page numbering, and metadata updates.

• **Security**: Lock, unlock, redact PDFs.
• **Optimization**: Compress and convert PDFs to grayscale.

Worker service for PDFNest responsible for OCR, layout extraction, document rendering, and other compute-intensive processing.
